LANGILLE, Annie Florence - 71, Lake Echo, died September 5, 2000,
in the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Dartmouth,
she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Viola (Bonang) Carpenter.
She worked as a cook in the Manor Nursing Home in Dartmouth.
She enjoyed bingo and baking.
She will be fondly remembered for her beautiful homemade wedding cakes.
Her family was very musical and she would sing as her brothers would play guitar.
She and her husband, Donald enjoyed camping and were
frequent visitors to both Green Valley and Riverside Campgrounds, Nine Mile River.
Surviving are her husband, Donald Russell;
son, David, Windsor;
daughters, Corrine Light, Toronto;
Pat Whalen, Nancy White, Lake Echo;
Diane Daigle, Vancouver;
brothers, Cecil, Musquodoboit;
Allan, Harold, Lake Echo;
Richie, Dartmouth;
Bruce, Lawrencetown;
sisters, Pearl Naugle, Dartmouth;
Marjorie Fritz, Mount Uniacke;
Dorothy "Dot" Richards, Dartmouth;
Shirley Hartling, Jeannie Lindsay, Mount Uniacke;
13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by brothers, Kenny, Donnie, Jerry, Lorne.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, September 8,
in the chapel of Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth,
Rev. Canon David Reid officiating. Burial to follow in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia
or the Canadian Cancer Society.
