FERGUSON, Nugent - 68, Highfield Street, Westville,
died on Saturday morning, November 7, 1998, in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Murray Field, he was a son of the late George and Victoria (Langille) Ferguson.
He was a carpenter and cabinet maker by trade.
He worked for various contractors for several years,
including Eastern Wood Workers and Irving Oil.
He later owned and operated Alma Cabinet Shop for 35 years.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church,
where he served as an elder, Board of Managers and Kirk Session.
He was a member of the Westville Fire Department for 35 years,
retiring in 1998 with the rank of Captain.
He was also a member of Scotia Lodge 11, IOOF,
and a member of the Easy Does It Group.
Surviving are his wife, the former Jean (Gordon) Cotter;
sons, Edward (wife Jane), Westville; David, at home;
grandchildren, Jason, Aaron and Janine;
stepdaughter, Bonnie Cotter, Westville;
stepsons, Steven Cotter (wife Cathy), Trenton; Jeff Cotter, Victoria;
Rocky Cotter, Westville; Howie Cotter, Phoenix;
step-grandchildren, Josh, John, Jacklyn and Dereck;
sisters, Betty (Mrs. Alexander MacKay); Peggy (Mrs. Emerson Hale), both of Mount William;
brothers, Ivan, North River; Alonzo, Mount William.
He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Jean MacGregor.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
His funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Tuesday in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Westville,
Rev. Glen Cooper officiating.
Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester.
Family flowers only.
