Jessie Louise 'Cov' Langille (nee Coventry)

LANGILLE (Coventry), Jessie Louise"Cov" - 77, Welsford Street, Pictou,
passed away June 5, 2000, in the Sutherland Harris Memorial Hospital, Pictou.
Born in Black River,
she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Annabell (Innis) Coventry.
A graduate of the Victoria General School of Nursing, Class of 1947,
Cov dedicated her life to the nursing profession with 44 years service, all in Pictou.
She served as a role model to those who knew and loved her.
Her strength of character and spirit stayed with her to the end as she fought a courageous
battle with cancer.
She was also a faithful member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Pictou.
The last surviving member of her family,
she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, MacKenzie Langille;
brothers, Bill, Norman and John; sister, Georgina Sutherland.
She is survived by goddaughter, Emma Lee (Boulter) Stewart and her husband Jim and children, Lee and Mary, New Glasgow;
brother-in-law, D.R. Sutherland, Meadowville;
nephew, Ralph Sutherland and his wife Audrey and children Dale and Ryan, Meadowville;
numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Pictou,
Rev. Kenneth Stright officiating.
Burial in Riverbank Cemetery.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Burns Memorial Presbyterian Church, West Branch,
the St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Pictou, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
