LeBLANC, Alphonse Benoit "Frenchy" - 85, Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg
and formerly of Martins River,
died April 27, 2000, in the South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Wedgeport,
he was a son of the late Jeremie and Rose (Pothier) LeBlanc.
During the 1940's he had worked on line maintenance and bridge building
for Canadian National Railways.
Later on he had worked for over 40 years,
in various production departments for National Sea Products,
retiring in 1981.
Surviving are sons, Eric and his wife Elizabeth, Bridgewater;
David and his wife Wendy, Wileville;
Ronald and his wife Sheila, Kentville;
Wally and his wife Karen, Martins River;
a sister, Alice and her husband Gerald Cottreau, Lower Wedgeport;
a brother Leopold LeBlanc, Wedgeport;
eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rita (Langille) LeBlanc;
sister, Mary; brothers, Dana and Augusta "Gus".
Visiting will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Mahone Funeral Home, 32 Parish St., Mahone Bay.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday in St. Martin's Anglican Church, Martins River,
Rev. Michael Mitchell officiating.
Burial will be in St. Martin's Cemetery, Martins River.
Family flowers only.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
or S.H.A.I.D. Animal Shelter through Mahone Funeral Home.
