CAMERON, Shirley Joanne - 58, 79 Radcliffe Dr., Halifax,
formerly of Sheet Harbour died at home on Monday, March 6, 2000, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Kentville,
she was a daughter of Emma (Langille) Morton, Grand Pre and the late George D. Morton.
Shirley graduated from the Payzant Memorial Hospital Nursing School
and nursed in Kentville,
Halifax and Sheet Harbour.
She enjoyed travelling, skiing, playing golf and was a avid gardener and craft person.
She was a member of the Sheet Harbour Lionettes Club, the Canadian Red Cross Society and
was founder of the New Horizon Nursing Home Senior Citizen Association.
She is survived by her husband, James;
son, Allan (Deanna), Marystown, Nfld.;
daughter, Catrina (Philip Fahie), Edmonton, Alta;
grandchildren, Nicolas and Alexander Fahie;
brothers, Gerald (Ann), Centerville, Kings Co.;
Kenneth (Brenda), Woodville, Kings Co.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Friday in J.A. Snow Funeral Chapel, 2666 Windsor St., Halifax,
Mr. Harley Kynock officiating.
Reception to follow. Private burial in Garden of Eden Cemetery, Moose River, Pictou Co.
Donations in Shirley's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit, the VG site, QEII or
charity of choice.
