PARIS, William Vincent "Vince" - 54, Pictou Landing Road,
died Saturday, February 26, 2000, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Antigonish,
he was a son of the late William Winslow and Mary Jane (Ash) Paris.
He was a former member of the military,
a former employee of Maritime Steel and Michelin.
He was employed by the Corps of Commissionaires for 20 years.
He was also the owner of A&R Laundromat in New Glasgow.
He played and umpired baseball and
was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34, New Glasgow
and an active member of the A.A. Association.
Surviving are his wife, the former Bertha (Smith) Langille;
daughters, Vanessa (Derek), New Glasgow;
Christa, Calgary, Alta.;
stepdaughter, April Langille, at home;
stepson, Raymond Langille, at home;
sisters, Irene (Mrs. Leonard Reddick), Dartmouth;
Mary (Mrs. Robert Montgomery), Dartmouth;
a brother, Alexander, Toronto;
also by grandchildren, John and Ashley;
an aunt, Rita, Upper Tracadie.
He was predeceased by sisters, Kathleen, Sadie, Anne, Monica, Marcella, Martha and Stella;
brothers, Duncan and Joseph.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday,
in R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m.
from Saint Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow.
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34, New Glasgow,
will hold their service Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will be in the Seaview Cemetery, Pictou.
Family flowers only.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
