HIGGINS, Dorothy Mabel - 81, Stewiacke, died March 25, 2000,
in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
Born in Brule Point, Colchester Co.,
she was a daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice (Murphy) Langille.
She and her husband Wilfred owned and operated a campground in Five Islands for many years.
She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Auxiliary, Stewiacke.
She was a member of the United Church of Canada and the UCW.
She was an avid bingo player and was very fond of Old Time Music and dancing.
Surviving are daughter, Myrna, Huron Park, Ont.;
sons, Wayne and wife Karen, Stewiacke;
Eric, Bridgewater;
Gregory and wife Gayle, London, Ont.;
sister, Kathryn McIntyre, Truro;
brothers, Charles, North Bay, Ont.;
Keith, Mississauga, Ont.;
Donald, Fairview;
11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred;
brother, Lloyd.
A graveside service will be held today at 1 p.m. in the Hilden Cemetery, Hilden,
Rev. Ron Frampton officiating.
Reception to follow in St. Andrews United Church Hall, Stewiacke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Andrews United Church, Stewiacke.
Arrangements entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, Truro.
