Born in River John, 86 years ago,
she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Abram Langille.
Except for the past three years when she was a patient in the Fullerton Rest Home,
Lyons Brook, her entire life was spent in her native village.
Survivors include three daughters and six sons.
Sophia, Mrs. George Johnson, Melville;
Greta, Mrs. Seldon Heighton, River John;
Catherine, Mrs. Harold Heighton, Trail, B.C.
Rod, Pictou;
Ernest, Howard, Gardner, Lester and Calvin, River John;
also two sisters, Mrs. Isobel Powell, Lorne;
Mrs. David Brown, River John.
The funeral was held from Salem United Church,
her pastor, Rev. Morriss Barss, conducting the service,
assisted by Mr. E.F. Dewar of St. George's Presbyterian Church.
Hymns sung were "The Lord's My Shepherd", and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus".
The pallbearers were Allister McKenzie, Aubrey Heighton, De Witt McLeod,
Clyde Langille, Lloyd Reid and George Wilkins.
There were many beautiful floral tributes from family and friends.
Burial took place in Bellevue Cemetery.
