George Albert Langille

LANGILLE, George Albert - 69, Windsor, died peacefully February 20, 2000,
in the Hants Community Hospital with his family and special friend, Tony Clarke at his side,
after a lengthy illness.
Born February 15, 1931, in Berwick, Kings Co.,
he was a son of the late Frank W. and Jean B. (Dennison) Langille.
George worked as a linotype operator.
He was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Berwick and also a choir member.
He moved to Windsor in 1963,
where he worked for the Hants Journal (David Albon and Company) until retirement in 1990.
He was a member of Christ Church Anglican, Windsor,
also a member of the choir and men's club.
He was a volunteer at Dykeland Lodge and the Cancer Mount Support Group
and a member of the Canadian Cancer Society.
George enjoyed bowling, skating and camping. He belonged to the Glooscap Camping Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Agnes "Aggie" Cole, Windsor;
brother, James, Hopewell, Pictou Co.
and special friend, Lillian Stroud, Plymouth Park;
sister-in-law, Ethel Langille, Kingston;
nieces, Crystal, Charlottetown, P.E.I.; Audrey Jean, Toronto, Ont.;
nephews, Hilton, Kingston;
Arden and wife Debbie and their children, Adam and Erica, all of Berton, N.B.;
aunt, Helen Dennison, Berwick.
He was predeceased by brother, Eugene; sister-in-law, Carol.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service 3 p.m. Thursday in Christ Church Anglican, Windsor,
Rev. David Curry and Rev. E.E. Hill officiating.
Burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor.
Family flowers only.
Donations may be made to Christ Church Anglican Memorial Fund, Windsor,
Canadian Cancer Society, Hants Community Hospital or Dykeland Lodge.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lohnes-Beazley Funeral Service Ltd., Windsor.
