Whitman G. Langille

MARTIN'S BROOK - Whitman Langille, 75, was buried in Hillcrest Cemetery,
Thursday following funeral service in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Lunenburg,
Rev. Donald Conrad officiated.
Born on Tancook Island, he was a son of the late Hibbert and Cecilia (Baker) Langille.
He was a municipal councillor for the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg from 1937 until 1949.
He was a member of the Tancook Island Pentecostal Church.
Surviving besides his wife, the former Sadie I. Mason,
are a son, Donald, Greenwood;
two daughters, Maxine (Mrs. David Davies) Labrador City, Nfld.;
Linda (Mrs. Les Silver) Halifax;
four brothers, Aliberton and Ervin, both of Big Tancook Island;
Harold, East River;
Harvey, First South;
three sisters, Mrs. Idella Whynaucht, Chester;
Mrs. Blanche MacMillan and Mrs. Muriel Martin, both of Halifax;
and seven grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers.
