McBAIN, Frances Wilhelmina - 91, Willow Lodge Home for Special Care, Tatamagouche
and formerly of The Falls, passed away February 3, 2000,
in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche.
Born in Earltown,
she was a daughter of the late William and Effie (Hayman) Ferguson.
She was a school teacher and
a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, The Falls,
The Ladies Guild, a member of Cedar Chapter Order of The Eastern Star, Wallace;
and Atlantic Chapter Order of The Eastern Star, Tatamagouche.
She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge, Freedom Chapter, Tatamagouche
and enjoyed knitting, quilting and gardening.
Surviving are daughters, Audrey Rees, Toronto;
Dorothy (Mrs. Don MacMillan), Wasaga Beach, Ont.;
sons,Freeman and wife Corrine, The Falls;
Ferguson and wife Huberta, Ajax, Ont.;
brothers, Harold and wife Barbara, Earltown;
Henry, Tatamagouche;
sisters, Irene Ferguson, Truro;
Catherine Carter, Amherst;
Christine Townsend, Riverview, N.B.;
Anne (Mrs. Norman Harris), Sudbury, Ont.;
Dorothy Murphy, Tatamagouche;
stepson, Robert McBain and wife Pat, Lindsay, Ont.;
many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, James Cook Langille;
second husband, Murray James McBain;
daughter, Effie Tucker;
brothers, Donald Ferguson and Alec Ferguson;
sisters, Janet Thompson and Evelyn Thompson.
Visitation will be Sunday 2-4, 7-9 p.m., in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche,
with an Order of The Eastern Star tribute service, Sunday at 6:30 p.m., i
n the funeral home with a Rebekah Lodge tribute service immediately following.
Funeral services will be Monday 2 p.m., in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, The Falls,
Rev. Martyn Van Essen officiating.
Spring interment will be in The Falls Cemetery.
Family flowers only.
Memorial donations can be made to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church,
Willow Lodge Bus Fund or a charity of choice.
