BEZANSON, George Edward - 95, Sheet Harbour, formerly of Moser River,
died January 6, 2000, in Duncan MacMillan Nursing Home, Sheet Harbour.
Born in Moser River, April 2, 1904,
he was a son of the late Herbert and Hannah (Langille) Bezanson.
He was a veteran of the Second World War having served in Belgium and Holland.
He was later employed with the Department of Lands and Forests as a warden on the Liscomb Game Sanctuary.
He was a member of Dufferin Lodge 89, Port Dufferin, from where he received his 50 year jewel in 1996.
He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 58, Sheet Harbour and a member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church, Moser River.
Surviving are brother, Robert C., Sheet Harbour;
sisters, Annie Naugler, Edna Moser, Sheet Harbour;
Nina MacDonald, Truro;
many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, William, Burton, John, Ernest;
sisters, Laura Shiers, Bessie Hartling, Agnes Naugler, Edith Ridlon, Nettie Bezanson; sister, Ellen in infancy.
Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, Masonic service 7:30 p.m. today, legion service 8 p.m. today, all in Ecum Secum Funeral Home, Ecum Secum. Funeral 2 p.m. Saturday, in St. Giles Presbyterian Church, Moser River, Rev. Glenn MacDonald officiating.
Burial to follow in the church cemetery, Moser River.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Giles Presbyterian Church, or any charity.
