SILVER, Gertrude E. - 99, Traverse City, Mich.,
formerly of New Germany, Lunenburg Co.,
died February 12, 1998, in Michigan.
Born in Meiseners Section,
she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Langille) Meisner.
She moved from New Germany to Halifax in 1940 during the Second World War.
Following the war in 1948, she moved to the United States,
where she lived until the time of her death.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are daughters, Vera (Mrs. Charles Bruhm), Lower Northfield;
Cleo, Traverse City;
son, R. Carman, Michigan;
three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; five great-great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd;
sisters, Hildreth, Mabel, Ethel;
brothers, Stan, Leo.
Private family burial will be held in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Germany, Rev. William Gustafson officiating. Donations to Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
