Jacqueline Leona Langille and David Carl Whittemore
were united in holy matrimony on Saturday, June 30, 2001,
at First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow, by Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Langille of New Glasgow and
the groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Blair Whittemore of Montreal.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her close friends,
Lisa Ball as matron of honour and Martine McKay and Erin Devane as bridesmaids.
The groom was attended by his friend, Dave Swetland, as best man.
Groomsmen were Blair Whittemore, brother of the groom, and
Kevin Langille, brother of the bride.
Greeters were Alexandra Pike and Ryan Pike,
niece and nephew of the groom.
Readings were by Martha MacLean, friend of the bride,
and Debbie Pike, sister of the groom.
Music during the ceremony included a solo by Jane Jones
accompanied by Ross MacVicar on the guitar.
Organist was Jacqueline van Hartingsveldt who also accompanied
Jane Jones for solos.
A reception followed at Summer Street Industries where Terry MacDonald,
friend of the bride and groom, was master of ceremonies.
The newlyweds enjoyed a weekend getaway to P.E.I. and
are planning a trip to Paris, France this fall.
They live in New Glasgow.
