RIVER JOHN- Kimberley Marie Langille and Darryl Scott Lochead
were united in marriage Aug. 19, in Salem United Church by Rev. Carmen Burns.
The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Greta Langille of River John.
The groom is the son of George and Dorothy Lochead of Sylvester.
Soloists Starr and Shannon Cunningham sang Can`t Help Falling in Love and There is Love.
Organist was Marion Haliburton.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride wore a white gown featuring a bodice enchanced with pearls and sequins and organza ruffled cap sleeves.The basque waist gave way to a lavish skirt of crystal organza ruffles. The gown was complimented by her pearl and lace trimmed long- satin gloves and a satin and pearl tear-drop headpiece with pouffe and short veil.
She carried a cascade bouquet of red rose interspersed with baby`s breath and ivy.
She wore a gold chain she received as a gift from the groom.
The matron of honor was Heather Fillier, sister of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Catherine Lochead, sister-in -law of the groom,
and Jean Baillie, friend of the bride.
They wore elegant ballerina-length red satin gowns, scoop neckline, elbow - length puffed sleeves, a basque waist adorned with a large satin bow on the left side.They also wore pearl neck- laces and earrings, gifts from the bride.
The junior bridesmaid was Dawn Langille, sister of the bride.She wore a white gown with pearl adorned bodice, short puffed sleeves and a shirred skirt of crystal organza.
Best man was David Lochead, brother of the groom.
Ushers were Billy Dunn, friend of the groom, and Trent Langille, brother of the bride.
Honorary ushers were Michael Lochead, brother of the groom, and Darryl Spears, friend of the groom.
The groom wore a black tuxedo with tails, black bow tie and cummerbund.
The ushers wore black tuxedos with red bow tie and cummerbund.
The bride`s mother Mrs. Langille, wore a soft pastel print street- length dress with white accessories.
A reception was held at the River John Fire Hall.
Out of town guests were present from Truro, Halifax,Cape Breton, Ontario, Florida, Quebec,Sudbury, and St. Catherines.
The couple took a wedding trip to Bangor, Maine and are residing in Labrador City, where the bride is employed as an elementary school teacher and the groom as a millwright.
