New Glasgow-The Heather Motor Hotel was the setting for a lovely fall wedding on Sept. 17,
when L.t Kenneth Graham of the Salvation Army joined together in marriage
Debra Geanine Livingstone and Randall Blaire Langille.
The bride is the daughter of James and Joan Livingstone of New Glasgow
and the groom is the son of John and Helan Langille of Westville
Soloist Kathy Rhodes-Lush sang the Theme From Snow White, Annie`s Song, and Walk Through This World With Me, accompanied by Sonya Sangster.
The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore an Elizabethan style gown of bridal satin with a full skirt. The fitted bodice featured a Snow White style stand- up collar of floral appliques which edged in sweetheart neckline scalloped with lace trim. Star-shaped pearls and floral lace appliques accented the front and continued to the waist.The full skirt with scalloped bottom fell to a small train at the back. The headdress was a three-quarter length veil attached to a wreath of white lilies and pearls which ended at a scalloped puff at the back.The veil had a scalloped bottom which matched the bottom trim of the gown.
The bride carried a bouquet of white lilies and red roses interspersed with baby`s breath and greenery.
The matron -of-honor was Wendy Marcott, cousin of the bride.
The bridemaids were Susan Mosher, friend of the bride, from Port Williams.
The flower girl was Melita Allan, friend of the bride.
The attendants were identically styled tea-length red satin dresses. Each featured a fitted bodice, sweetheart necklines and large bows on the sleeves and full skirts.
The best man was Marty Langille, brother of the groom,
and the ushers were Michael Langille, brother of the groom, and Steven Stewart cousin of the groom.
The bride`s mother wore a two piece black and white ensemble with Lady Di style black and white hat and black and white accessories.
The groom`s mother wore a black and white dress with green accessories.
The reception was held at the Heather Motor Hotel.
The couple took a wedding trip to points of interest in Nova Scotia.
The newlyweds will reside in New Glasgow.
The bride is the manager of Smart Set in the Highland Square Mall and the groom is employed with a local construction company.
Out of town guests attended from Halifax, Truro,Port Williams, Toronto, Michigan and New Brunswick.
