Relinquish of Dower
Nancy Langill, wife of Grant Langill to William Langille
Registered 30th August, 1854 at 3 o'clock p.m.
on the certificate of K. MacLean, J.P.
Know all men by these presents that I, Nancy F. Langille of River John
in
the County of Pictou, Yeoman, for and in consideration of the sum of
twelve
pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia to me in hand paid by William
Langille
of River John aforesaid in the County of Pictou aforesaid, Esquire, the
receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have granted, bargained, sold,
relinquished, resigned and made over and by these presents do grant,
bargain, sell, relinquish, assign and make over unto the said William
Langille, his heirs and assigns all right, title, interest and claim
which I
now have or hereafter might have in right of dower or other interest
whatsoever in, to, out, of or upon all that certain lot of land conveyed by
my said husband to the said William Langille by deed dated the 15th day of
March A.D.1847 and all that other certain lot of land conveyed by my
said husband to Nathan (or Nathaniel) Langille by deed bearing the same date
as the aforesaid and by him conveyed to the said William Langille.
In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 29th day of August, 1854

I do certify that Mrs. Nancy Langille within named came personally before me this 18th day of August A.D. 1854 and acknowledged that the within instrument was by her executed for the purposes therein set forth and that freely and voluntarily without force or compulsion on the part of her husband.

I do certify that John Gould, a subscribing witness to the within instrument, came personally before me and made oath that he was present at and witness to the executing of the same by Nancy Langille whose name and seal are thereto set.
