Release of Mortgage
James Kitchin to Mathew Langille
Registered 22nd September 1854 at 4 o'clock p.m.
on the oath of Al. McDonald
Know all men by these presents that I, James Kitchin, of River John in
the
County of Pictou, Merchant, received from Mathew Langille (Mathew's son)
of
River John in said county, Yeoman, the full amount due me for principal
and
interest due on a certain bond and mortgage made the said Mathew
Langille to
me bearing date the seventeenth day of December, one thousand, eight
hundred
and forty-five for the sum of thirty-seven pounds, seventeen shillings,
which said mortgage is registered in books of registory for said county
in
Liber thirty-one, folis, fifty-four, in consideration of the payment of
said
principal and interest for ever release and discharge the said Mathew
Langille from said bond and do also hereby grant, resign, release and
recover to the said Mathew Langille the land and premises written and
set
forth in said mortgage with its appurtenances. To have and to hold the
same
to him and his heirs and assigns for ever.
In witness whereof I have hereto my hand and seal subscribed and set
this
twenty-second day September, one thousand, eight hundred and fifty-four.
