David Langill & wife to David Perin
Registered 7th March, 1854 at 1 o'clock p.m.
on the certificate of K. MacLean, J.P.
This Indenture made this fifteenth day of April in the year of our Lord,
one
thousand, eight hundred and forty-eight between David Langill of River
John
in the County of Pictou, Miller, and Mary Ann, his wife, of the one
part
and David Perin of River John, aforesaid, in the county aforesaid,
Blacksmith, of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said David Langill and Mary Ann, his wife, for and
in
consideration of the sum of forty pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia
to
them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have and
each
of them hath granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and confirmed and by
these
presents do and each of them doth grant, bargain, sell, convey and
confirm
unto the said David Perin, his heirs and assigns all that certain lot of
land with the appurtenances situate, lying and being at River John in
the
County of Pictou, aforesaid, abutted, bounded and described as follows.
That is to say, beginning at the junction of the Mill Brook Road (so
called), with the Main Road leading up the western side of the River
John
and running thence south fourteen degrees west along the western side of
said Main Road forty-one chains to a hemlock tree on the east boundary
line
of George Langill's farm lot, thence north along said boundary line
thirty-six chains to the southern side of the Mill Brook Road aforesaid
and
thence north sixty-nine degrees east along the said southern side of
said
Mill Brook Road, ten chains and seventy-five links to the place of
beginning, containing seventeen acres and three quarters, be the same
more
or less.
To have and to hold the said lot of land with all and singular, the
privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise
appertaining unto him the said David Perin, his heirs and assigns to his
and their sole use, benefit and behoof forever.
In witness whereof the said David Langill and Mary Ann, his wife, have
hereunto severally their names subscribed and seals affixed the day and
year first above written.

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture from the therein named David Perin, the sum of forty pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia, being the full consideration money mentioned in the said Indenture.
