John G. Langill to Isaac Langill
Registered 14th August, 1854 at 1 o'clock p.m.
on the certificate of William Langill, J.P.
This Indenture made the eighth day of August in the year of our Lord,
one thousand, eight hundred and fifty-four between John George Langill of River
John, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, of the one part and Isaac
Langill of
River John, in the county aforesaid, Yeoman, of the other part.
Witnesseth that the said John George Langill, for and in consideration
of
the sum of forty pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia to him in hand
paid
by the said Isaac Langill at or before the sealing of and delivery of
these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted,
bargained, sold, remised, released, enfeoffed and confirmed and by
these
presents do grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, enfeoff and confirm
unto
the said Isaac Langill, his heirs and assigns all that certain lot, or
track
or parcel of land situate at River John on the western side of River
John
Harbour and in the County of Pictou, described as follows.
That is to say, beginning at the shore twenty-five rods west from the
western corner of a lot of land formerly owned by John Frederick Langill
and
now in possession of Ephraim Langill, thence south one mile, more less,
to
the rear line, thence west twenty-five rods, more or less, to the line,
thence north to the shore one mile, more or less, thence the different
courses of the shore easterly twenty-five rods, more or less, to the
place
of beginning, containing fifty acres to the farm, more or less.
To have and to hold the said lot of land and premises with all and
singular,
the buildings and improvements thereon and thereunto belonging or in any
wise appertaining thereon and thereunder to him the said Isaac Langill,
his
heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to his and their only use,
benefit and behoof forever. And the said John George Langill hereby
binds
himself, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to warrant and
defend the said Isaac Langill, his heirs, executors, administrators and
assigns in the peaceful and quiet possession of the above conveyed
premises forever.
In witness whereof the said John George Langill, have hereunto his name,
subscribed and seal affixed the day and year first within written.

Received on the day of the date of the foregoing Deed of Indenture from
the
therein named Isaac Langill, the sum of forty pounds currency being the
full
consideration money mentioned.
