Know all men by these presents that I, William Langill, of River John, in the county of Pictou, Esquire, named in the within written lease, for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings of lawful money of Nova Scotia to me in hand paid by James Grant of Little Harbour in the said county, Millwright, the receipt whereof hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained, sold, assigned, transferred and set over and by these presents to grant, bargain, sell, assign, transferred and set over unto the said James Grant, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, the within written lease and all sum and sums of money now due or hereinafter to become due thereon, and all my right, title, interest, claim and demand whatsoever of, in, to and upon the same.
I do hereby authorize the said James Grant in my name or otherwise to demand, sue or receive, have hold and enjoy the said sum and sums of money now due thereon or hereafter to become thereon.
To have and to hold the same to the said James Grant, his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns to his and their own absolute use, benefit and behoof forever.
In witness whereof I have hereto my hand and seal subscribed and set this seventeenth day of April, A.D. 1855.
