Mrs. Smith's Rites Thursday
Funeral services for Mrs. H.L. (Josie) Smith, 73, of 1115 Inman Street will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Connally Chapel. Rev. W.C. Binford will officiate with burial in Waco Memorial Park.
Mrs. Smith died at 10:25 p.m. Monday in a Waco hospital. She had been in the hospital three days.
Mrs. Smith was a native of Georgia, but had lived in Waco most of her life. She was a member of Oaklawn Baptist Church.
Survivors are five sons, Eugene Smith and L.A. Smith, both of 1115 Inman Street, Raymond G. Smith and Charles C. Smith, both of Long Beach, Calif., and H.E. Smith of 1704 South Twenty-ninth Street; four daughters, Mrs. Le_a Hall of Calhoun, Ga., Mrs. Iva Reed of 709 South Fourth Street, Mrs. P.E. Brewington of Chilton and Mrs. R.E. Redding of Route 2, Waco; two brothers, Bill Parker of San Antonio and Jack R. Parker of Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Curry of Lafette, Ga., and Mrs. Bessie Foxen of 1720 Nelva Avenue; 24 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
