Lanpher Chapel (historical) - Bernie, Stoddard County, MO
An early deed shows that Sam Lanpher, J.E. Bates and W. D. Eaker, trustees of the Lanpher Chapel of the Methodist Episcopal Church South transfered the property to Caleb Lanpher (son of Sam), J. E. Bates and Charley Talley.   A member of the Lanpher family, remembers walking "across the field" to the services at the church.  The church burned to the ground.    Information from Bill Lanpher
