 1881 LETTER TO JANE AKESTER (& JOHN LAMB)

Schrylerville, N. Y.
March 25th, 81

Dear Sister
-------- Your welcome letter rec'd in due time and was very glad to hear from you.
-------- Before I got home my oldest daughter had gone to New York for Medical treatment has just returned home now after having spent six months there and still in very poor health though was helped a good deal.
------- I am not very well myself though about as when I was at your home, the rest of the family are well excepts colds, we also have had a hard winter and a great deal of snow-------- I have cleaned my wheat that I showed you a sample of had 250 bushels and it was very nice.
------- Hay has been from 14 to 20 dollars a ton, ------- I suppose yor are now making sugar hope you will have good luck and lots of sugar.
------- Give my love to Mr. Lamb & we would be very glad to have you and him come down to make us a visit next summer or any time when you care.
------- I know you would have a good time, or any of the others would be glad to have them come at any time,------- Give my love to all the friends and now try to come & see us some time if you can for I know you would have a good time.
------- This is a very dull cloudy day looks like snow there is a little snow in spots now.
------- Jane Ann & her family are as well as usal, -- she has moved about half a mile they have bought a house and lot and I think he will work at Carpentening.
------- I cant think of much news
------- Give my love to Mary Ann and her husband & would like to have them visit us very much.
------- I shall ve glad to hear from you soon.
