PARENTS


William was born in Beverley, Yorkshire County, England. William & Ann were married in Kingston Upon Hull, England. This family migrated to Canada in 1827. They first lived at La Prairie, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River across from Montreal. Soon after they settled in the Henrysburg area. Shortly, they became established in Roxham, Huntingdon County, Province of Quebec, Canada. Note that Old Huntingdon County was larger than the present county & used to include St. Jean County.

Both William and Ann are buried in the Roxham Cemetery, Roxham Road, St. Bernard de Lacolle Municipality, St. Jean County, Province of Quebec, Canada.
William's gravestone inscription reads "... 76 yr. native of England." Ann's gravestone inscription reads " ... 59 yr."
