William's father was Alfred Sutton & his mother was Margaret Lowden. It is speculated that William was born at home. Margaret was born at home - 2182 Covey Hill Road, Lot 48c (Allchin), Franklin Township, Huntingdon County, Quebec, Canada.

They were married at the home of Margaret near Franklin Centre.

Willie and Margaret lived on their farm at 249 Covey Hill Road, Havelock Township, Huntingdon County, Quebec, Canada. Willie eventually built a bungalow at 471 Route 203 in Havelock Township at Havelock Corners. There he retired after selling his farm.

Sutton - Lamb

The home of Mrs. Samuel Lamb on Wednesday evening July 17 1918 was the scene of a pretty wedding, when her younger daughter Margaret Jane, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr. Willie E. Sutton eldest son of Mr. & Mrs. A. Sutton of Franklin. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Clapham of Franklin Centre, assisted by the Rev. W. T. Payne of Ormstown. At 8 o'clock to the strains of Mendolssohn's Wedding march played by Miss Bessie Barr. The bridal party entered the room and stood under an arch of evergreens from which suspended a white emblematic horse shoe. The bride who was given away by her brother Mr. S. E. Lamb was beautifully attired in white silk embroidered net outer ivory silk crepe-de-chine her silk embroidered veil was held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of bridal roses and tied with streamers of white ribbon. The only ornament warn was a gold waist watch the gift of the groom. After the congratulations the bride and groom led the way to the dining room where a sumptuous supper was served to about seventy eight guest. Mr. and Mrs. Sutton left amidst showers of rice the following morning for a honey moon trip to Noyan and other points with the best wishes of a long life of happiness and prosperity. The bride travelling in a Copenhagen blue suit with hat to match. They were the recipients of may useful presents consisting of linen, siheer, and a number of cheques.

William & Margaret were buried in the Bethel Church Cemetery, Geraldine, Covey Hill Road, Havelock Township, Huntingdon County, Quebec, Canada. (Note that there was no stone marking either grave as of Summer 1999.)
