Clement- Marriage
PARENTS
Got my information from Vermont University on Saturday. It’s now been confirmed that Clement is the name of John Nokes wife. That at least 8 of the 9 children were in Vermont with their mother and father. It seems that Morris was already married to Azubah when his parents left for Vermont but he and his family followed shortly after. Morris is listed in the land deeds in 1798 and his parents went to Vermont in 1787.
John was of Dutch extraction. He died in Swanton,
Vermont.

William died in Highgate, Franklin County, Vermont. Wife, Mary was born in Swanton, Vermont.
George was born in Champlain, Clinton County, NY. He died in Essex County, NY.
Jacob was born in Pittstown, Rensselaer County, NY. He died in Lee,
Brown County, Illinois. Wife, Mary died in Lee, Brown Cunty,
Illinois. Mary married a second time to Nathaniel Cleaves in Brown County,
Illinois.
Stephen was born in Christie Manor, Quebec. Wife, Genevieve, died in Stanstead County, QC.
Esther is buried in Church Street Cemetery, Swanton, Vermont.
Simon died in Swanton, Vermont. Wife, Clarissa was born in NY.
