Howard Morrison, of Mexico, N. Y., former resident of Canaan Hill, died Saturday, March 6th, of pneumonia at his home. He was born January 3, ? at Ellenburg Depot, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Florian Morrison is survived by his wife and son ? and the following sisters and brothers: Fannie Whitney, of Troy, ? Stewart, of Amsterdam, Cora ?, Mexico, Isabelle Spoor, of Oriskany Falls, Carrie Edison, of Barre, Vt., Martha Munn, of Flint, Mich., ? Edison, of Barre, Vt., a half-sister, Bessie Colgan, of Mooers, Elmer Morrison and Milo Morrison, of Amsterdam, a step-father, George Colgan of Plattsburgh. Sympathy is extended to- the bereaved relatives.

OBITUARY
HOWARD LESTER MORRISON
On Saturday night March 26, at five o'clock occurred the death of Howard Lester Morrison. He was stricken with pneumonia, February 27th and was sick but one week.
Howard was the son of Florian and Emogean Morrison. He was born at Ellenburg Depot, January 3, 1902. He attended the woods school, Dist. No. 9. In his early teens he went to Amsterdam and from there to Mexico, N. Y., where he was employed on the electric light line for two years between Watertown and Syracuse.
In 1923 he was united in marriage with Ellen Raymond, of that place. For the past 14 years he had been operating a farm in Mexico, N. Y.
He is survived by his widow, a son, Willias, age 12 years, his stepfather, George Colgan of Beekmantown, two brothers Elmer and Milo Morrison of Amsterdam; seven sisters, Mrs. Fannie Whitney of Troy; Mrs. Alphonsus Stewart of Amsterdam, Mrs. Joseph Sherman of Mexico, Mrs. Ralph Spoor of Oriskany Falls, Mrs. Leon Edson of Barre, Vt., Mrs. Harold Edson, of Brookfleld, Vt., Mrs. Aupert Munn, of Flint, Mich., also a step sister, Bessie Colgan of Mooers and his grandmother, Mrs. Susan Covey of Bradford, Vt.
He was a member of the Baptist church. Rev. Kenneth Bliss, former pastor of the Baptist Church in Mexico, now of Unadilla Forks, conducted the service at his home. The choir sang the Old Rugged Cross.
There were many beautiful floral tributes. It was a private funeral with burial in Vermillion cemetery. Members of the family acted as bearers.
