------------------------------------------------------------------------------

     ( Intended For Last Week)
The almost unbelievable news was received last Thursday night that Ernest A. Grimshaw has passed away at 8:30 o'clock at his home north of the village on the Federal Highway. Mr. Grimshaw had spent the previous day in Huntingdon and not being well, had consulted a doctor but nothing serious had developed. In the evening  he was visiting with the members of the family when his sudden death occurred.
Mr. Grimshaw was born in Churubusco on January 18, 1886, the son of the late Bradley and Abigail (Towne) Grimshaw but spent most of his life in Chateaugay. On November 20, 1905 he married the former Ida Mae Gillett. who survived.
A farmer by occupation Mr. Grimshaw was an industrious worker and always at home with his family. He was a devoted father and husband and a kind neighbor ever to lend a helping hand. His cheerful manner and even temper will be greatly missed by the bereaved family as well as by his host of friends. He was affiliated with the Methodist church at Chateaugay.
He is survived by his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Albert Johnson. two sons, Bradley and Archie Grimshaw and three grandchildren whom he dearly loved Albert and Leonard Johnson and Gwendolyn Grimshaw all of Chateaugay.     Funeral sevices were held at the Methodist Church at 2 P.M. Sunday Rev. Vernon Nichols officiating . Burial at Burke Center Cemetery. The large turnout of sorrowing relatives and friends testified in strongest terms of the regard and esteem in which the deceased was held.
