Mary P. Mooney

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary P. Mooney, 74, of Mayfield Apartments, were held Saturday, Aug. 5, 1978 at 11 a.m. at the Garner Funeral Home with the Rev. John Ault, pastor of the Koinonia Church officiating. Burial was in Southville Cemetery, Southville.

Arrangements were with the Garner Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mooney died Thursday (Aug. 3, 1978) at the Potsdam Hospital where she had been a patient for 10 days.

Surviving are two sons, Arthur of Potsdam, Kenneth of Keaau, Hawaii; five grandchildren; a brother, Roy Grimshaw of Malone.

Mrs. Mooney was born in Elgin, Que., March 10, 1904, the daughter of Daniel and Margaret Ann Edford Grimshaw. She was educated in Canadian schools and moved to the United States with her family when she was a young woman.

She was married to Arthur Mooney, Sept. 26,1933 in a ceremony performed by the Rev. Wilbur Clark in the Malone Methodist Church. Mr. Mooney died in September, of 1976.

Mrs. Mooney was employed on the Hobart Farm in Gabriels.

Mrs. Mooney was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church, Massena.
