CASTORLAND, N.Y. - Betty Jane Weller, 79, of the Van Amber Road, died Tuesday evening, January 10, 2006 at the Lewis Co. Residential Health Care Facility , as a result of injuries she received from an automobile accident that occurred on November 15, 2005.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Lowville, with Rev. Keith W. Hardy, Jr., pastor, officiating. Spring burial will be in the West Lowville Rural Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to Beaver Falls Ambulance Fund, in care of Randy Roggie, P.O. Box 456, Beaver Falls, N.Y. 13305 or the New Bremen Fire Department, in care of John Boyd, Treasurer, NYS Route 812, Lowville, NY 13367.

She is survived by her husband, Vernon E. Weller; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and John "Jack" Moore of Castorland, NY; two granddaughters, Cynthia L. Moore of Fulton, NY and Katheryn J. Moore of Oswego, NY; a great-granddaughter, Shelby L. Persons of Oswego, NY; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Beatrice and Luther Kaler of Harrisville, NY, Virginia and Ralph Dryer of Cape Vincent, NY, Grace Newman of Ocala, Florida, Kathleen Robbins of Williamstown, NY; several nieces, nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Elmer Morrison and a sister Karen Hosmer.

Mrs. Weller was born on June 23, 1927 in Barre, Vermont, a daughter of Elmer H. and Ethel Mae Winks Morrison and attended Lowville Academy. On September 19, 1943, she married Vernon E. Weller at Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Lowville.

She was a member of Bethel Church of the Nazarene, Lowville, where she was Sunday School Secretary for over 53 years. She was a volunteer driver for Lewis Co. Department of Social Services for the past 15 years.
