Dean Allen PelkeyCharlotte, N.C. - Dean Allen Pelkey of Charlotte, N.C. died Friday, July 21, 2000.

Dean was born in Plattsburgh, the son of Laura Ashline Pelkey of Rouses Point and the late Gerald Pelkey.

He graduated from Northeastern Clinton High School in Champlain and Potsdam State.

He was employed by First Union Bank as a new products analyst. He was a member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Kelly; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Jacque Giroux of Chazy, Barbara and Gordon Hurlburt of Mooers and Linda and Michael Bahry of Dillsburg, Pa.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marty and Laurie Pelkey of Syracuse and Gerald K. and Bonnie Pelkey of Redford; and his paternal grandmother, Bessie Castine of Champlain; and also his beloved dog, Shelby.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 24, at Harry and Bryant Chapel in the Oaks, with Talbot Davis officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice at Charlotte, N.C. 28204 or American Cancer Society, 500 East Morehead Street, Suite 211, Charlotte, N.C. 28202

The M.B. Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
