Loretta May Lagree
Malone — Loretta May Lagree, 90, formerly of Churubusco, N.Y., died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at Alice Hyde Medical Center, Malone, N.Y., following transfer from Alice Hyde Nursing Home, where she had been a patient since August 1994.
She was born in Churubusco, N.Y., on April 5, 1913, the daughter of Fred and Mabel (Yelle) Nichols.
She was married to Augustine Lagree in 1931 at St. Philomena's Church, Churubusco. He predeceased her on Dec. 8, 1973.
Mrs. Lagree is survived by her children, Henry Lagree of Methuen, Mass., Edgar Lagree of Clearwater, Fla., William Lagree of Churubusco, N.Y., Paul Lagree of Malone, George Lagree of Churubusco, N.Y., Harold and Linda Lagree of Dallas, Texas, Mary Forrette of Tennessee, Agnes Forrette of Massachusetts and Martha and Bruce Guay of Ellenburg, N.Y.; a stepson, Francis Lagree of Churubusco; her sisters, Rose and Herman Bow of Malone, N.Y., Laura Birnbaun of Flemington, N.J., and Ida Jenorou of Ministique, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Those that preceded in death besides her husband were her parents; two sisters, Evelyn Avery and Pearl McDonald; and three brothers, Earl, Raymond and Lawrence Nichols.
She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Churubusco.
Calling hours will be held at Chateaugay Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 20th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Howard McCasland officiating. Burial will take place in the spring at Immaculate Heart Cemetery, Churubusco.
Arrangements are with the Chateaugay Funeral Home.
