Interesting Family Trivia
George Hare came to Lake Placid from the
Saranac River Valley probably in the early depression years prior to the 1932
winter Olympic games.
Chester was blind--but not from birth. He was married. Mary Gertrude said he had children as she at one time baby-sat them. Chester was known as Ted.
Kenneth's wife was a school teacher in Au Sable Forks, NY . They had no children.
Note: The surname "Abare" is
a derivetive of the French surname "Hébert," pronounced "a-bair."
