John William (Bill) Adams

The Adams Family left its mark on Franklin Township & Area. Nathaniel & William Adams were two of the first settlers in what is today Franklin Township. Nathaniel occupied Lot 9 in the First Concession of Russeltown Township in 1823. William occupied Lot 4, First Concession & Lots 5 & 6, Second Concession of Russeltown Township in 1823. Testimony to Hiram's (son of Nathaniel) building capabilities is the Franklin Township Hall at 1670 Route 202, Franklin Centre Congregational Church also on Route 202, & the Geraldine Zion United Church in Havelock Township at ~29 Covey Hill Road. These three buildings are still standing today.
