One of Towanda's most respected citizens, Mr. Lambing had been a resident of Butler County for the past 62 years and was of the type which did much to make the West grow and develop.
He went to Murdock Township in 1873 and was actively associated with the growth of that community for many years.  Born at Somerset, Ohio, on March 7, 1851, Mr. Lambing moved to Ill. and from there to Butler County.  For the past 15 years he had been a resident of Towanda.
Mr. Lambing is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Dutton, of Seminole, Oklahoma, three sons, Harry of Newkirk, Okla., and Fred and Percy of Towanda; one sister Mrs. J.A. Wilson of El Dorado, and nine grand-children.
Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Towanda Christian Church with Rev. Hendrickson of Whitewater, officiating.
Burial was made in the Towanda Cemetery.  The Arnold-Adams Funeral Home of El Dorado, had charge.

Funeral services for Mrs. Albert J. Lambing, 83, whose death occurred at her home in Towanda last Thursday, were held in the Towanda Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon, with the Rev. Earl A. Nossaman in charge.

Addie Irene Longstreth was born in Rutland, Meigs County, Ohio, January 28, 1862, and as a young girl accompanied her parents to Kansas.  In 1883 she was married to Albert J. Lambing.  The couple established their first home on the farm four miles northwest of Towanda where they reared their daughter and sons--Mrs. Harry C. Dutton of Hoisington; Harry Lambing, now residing at Newkirk, Okla.; Percy Lambing of Holden, Mo., and Fred Lambing who preceded his mother in death.  In 1919 the family moved to Towanda, where Mr. Lambing died in 1935.
In addition to her immediate family, Mrs. Lambing is survived by a sister, Mrs. Minnie McFarland of St. Louis; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. Lambing possessed a fine spirit of friendliness to which so many friends responded with admiration and affection.  These friends share with the bereaved family a sense of deep loss in Mrs. Lambing's death.
For many years Mrs. Lambing's health was not robust, but she never complained not withstanding  that she was so frequently a hospital patient.  Everything that tender and efficient care and medical science could achieve were administered but "the milestones of life were too many."
Mrs. Lambing had "a living faith in God" and practiced in everyday life the Christianity that she professed.  Hers was an exemplary life and her family and friends will always miss her presence.
