MY KINFOLKS OF KY AND BEYOND NEWSPAPER CLIPPINGS PAGE 6

Kaitlyn Jones has written a poem "Friendship". It has been registered in The America Library of Poetry and The American Literacy Council's Student Poetry Contest. The poem is also going to be published in Gifted, a book by The America Library of Poetry. If named a winner of the "Editor's Choice" Award, Kaitlyn will receive a $500.00 United States Savings Bond Grand Prize.
Here's her poem:
Friendship
Friends are there through thick and thin,
They are there for ever and a day and for that you should say:
Thank you for being there today tomrrow and the next,
You may not understand the things I do but your always there to give me a clue
When I am down you pick me up not push me around,
Our friendship may not seem like a lot to these people
But to me our friendship is priceless,
Thank you for helping me through my daily crisis!
We are so very proud of her and we WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK.
Check back in September to see if Kaitlyn has won the grand prize. Winners will be posted on The America Library of Poetry.
Kaitlyn (my niece) is d/o Keith Jones & Tina Wells.
