Ray enlisted in the Army on 5/13/1943 at Fort Thomas, KY.
He was a PFC in the 167th General Hospital as a Medical
Aidman. While in the service Ray received the American Theater
Ribbon; EAME Theater Ribbon; Meritorius Unit Award;
and the Victory Medal World War II. Ray served eleven months
and 23 days in overseas duties. Ray was honorably discharged on
4/7/1946 at Camp Atterbury, IN.
Military information came from Ray's discharge papers.
Anna and Ray are children of Edd Helton & Lola Buchanan.
