JOHN RANSOM JONES
March 31, 1913 - June 29, 1977
- John was the son of Rev. Andrew Jackson Jones and Mary Blevins.
John was the seventh of ten children of Jackson and Mary.
He was born in Dizney, Harlan Co., KY.
John was a farmer, coal miner and his last employment was for the
State of Kentucky Highway Department.
John married A. Mae Satterfield on August 1, 1938 in Cawood, Harlan Co., KY.
John and Mae had three children together.

I was only twelve when my grandpa passed away. Our time together was too short. He meant a lot to me and I miss him - Kim Jones Dean (his granddaughter). |
