MY KINFOLKS OF KY AND BEYOND 1969 BUICK SKYLARK WAGON PAGE 3

This picture shows the extent of disassembly gone through to restore the body on this wagon. As you can see, every inch of the car was touched in preparation of paint. The end results showed no reminders of the ugly Palmetto green paint that GM chose to use in 1969. The previous owned told me that his buddy's dad traded in a 1968 just because he liked the Palmetto green better. I can honestly say that I have touched every square inch of this car with sandpaper, no finger prints left for me!

Shown here is the car reassembled with all of the door jams and edges trimmed in with the final color. The car is basically ready to go to the paint shop where I will apply the final outside color and graphics to finish off the car.
