James Riley Slusher, son of Haywood and Nancy Slusher, was born July, 6 1880, died December 5, 1959. he was married to Leota Hoskins August 3, 1905. Riley joined the Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church in July, 1937. Later he moved his membership to the London Primitive Baptist Church when it was constituted. He was ordained deacon of this church and was a faithful member until his death. He leaves to mourn his death, four sons, four daughters and a host of friends and relatives. he is gone to rest, but will not be forgotten.
