Sarah married William TAYLOR on 25 Oct 1898 in Bell County, Kentucky. William was born on 3 Mar 1830 in Kentucky. He died on 22 Aug 1904 in Bell County, Kentucky. He was buried in Boardtree Cem, Bell County, Kentucky.
In 1900, William Taylor (b. 1832) and his new wife, Sarah, lived nextdoor to his youngest son Mount Taylor, Sr. Lillie Mae Taylor (William's great-granddaugther), lived with her grandparents James M. Taylor and and Ruth J. Thompson, after the death of her mother, Sarah Catherine Cox, in 1921. Lillie remembers Sarah Miracle and her children, William, Lawerence, and Sissie visiting with her grandparents, Matt and Ruth. Lillie doesn't remember much about them but she does remember thatWilliam was very handsome and debonair. He courted Paschal Taylor's sister-in-law and she commited suicide. Some say it was because Bill didn't or wouldn't marry her. Lillie thinks Lawerence may have been"slow". She also remembers a time when her grandfather James would not speak to his brother Mount because he was a "turncoat". Mount was a Republican and James was a Democrat.
Lillie and her siblings and other cousins who lived there called Sarah Miracle "Granny". Sarah was described as a large woman with blonde hair.
Bill (b. 1900) worked for the railroad and whenever he visited wore a suit. They referred to him as "Uncle Bill" but did not address Lawrence or Sissie that way. Often Uncle Bill would throw something from the train for them. Many times it was a letter.
There is a discreptancy in the age of William Taylor. The 1850 census lists him as being 19 while the 1860 lists him as being 26. He is listed as living with Mount Pursifull. In the annoted version of the 1850 census he is listed as being married to Louisa Helton.

Catherine married Barnett Arnett HOSKINS [scrapbook] son of Bratcher HOSKINS and Mary ARNETT on 8 Jan 1892 in , Bell County, Kentucky. Barnett was born on 1 Feb 1871 in , Bell County, Kentucky. He died on 7 Jul 1958 in , Bell County, Kentucky. He was buried in Aunt Emily Cem, Bell County, Kentucky.
Barnett Hoskins was born Feb. 1, 1871 (place unknown). He was a man of true grit, who made a living hauling stones, lumber and water with his wagon and team of mules, and often hauled salt from the Livingston - Mt. Vernon area to Bell County, a two-week trip for a distance of approximately 120 miles one way, to many families in the county.
Education wasn't a top priority in those days but rather learning how to make a living with what nature provided. That required brawn and thinking ahead from one season to another, despite the difficulties, illnesses, or weather in that eastern, mountainous area called Bell County, KY.
Barnett Hoskins was Barnett Simpson's grandfather and he is honored to bear the first name, Barnett, after him. He was the son of Mary Arnett and Bratcher H. Hoskins.
In the last years of the 19th century, they selected a home, a log cabin, the only form of building on the frontier, and raised a family in the cabin located in the Black Snake area near Cubbage, KY in a valley between two hills.
Barnett was of the Primitive Baptist faith that still flourishes in Bell County and throughout the country. He was loved by his descendants, trusted by most who knew him, and a true pioneer who helped settle Bell County.
Barnett and Katherine had eight daughters and one son; 48 grandchildren, 131 great-grandchildren, 123 great -great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-great-grandchildren.
Twenty-three grandsons served in defense of this country, and one is presently a missionary in South Africa.
The children of this union are: Josie Hoskins, married Than Thompson, no children; Mossie Hoskins, married John H. Miracle, four children; Bessie Hoskins, married R. A . Cheek, 14 children; Sudie Hoskins, married Ben F. Simpson, seven children; America Hoskins, married Rufus Cheek, one chld; Ada Hoskins, married Rich Ervin, 10 children; Oppie Hoskins, married Smith Stumbo, one child and Bratcher Hoskins, married Linda Jane Cox, six children.
The seven children of the family of Ben and Sudie Hoskins Simpson, walked in the footsteps of their parents, with persistent courage and fortitude, despite the daily life of hardships. But with a large family at home, there was also love and understanding.
The children of this union are: Paul Eugene Simpson, married Janet Bishop, two children; Barnett A. Simpson, married Marie Wilder, four children; Cleston Simpson, married Marie Hobbs, two children; Nathaniel Simpson, married Phyllis Terrell, three children; Rowland Simpson, never married, died 1951; Anna Lee Simpson, married Leonard Stark, no children and Wanda Faye Simpson, married Jim Simpson (no relation) one child.

Barnett A. Hoskins was born February 1, 1871, departed this life July 27, 1958, making his stay on earth 87 years, 5 months and 27 days. He married Miss Catherine Miracle December 1892. To this union were born 13 children. He joined the Primitive Baptist Church in 1911 and remained a faithful member until death. He leaves to mourn his passing five children, 43 grandchildren, 85 great grandchildren, and a host of friends and relatives. We feel our loss is his eternal gain.
