          RAYMOND CRAWFORD Son of JOHN LAWRENCE CRAWFORD and DOROTHY BICKER was born 06 March 1926 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky, and died February 1998 in Lake Placid, Florida. He is buried in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. He married MARY ELAINE HORNUNG 13 September 1947 in St Bridget Catholic Church, Louisville Kentukcy, daughter of LAWRENCE HORNUNG and FLORENCE SCHABEL. She was born 1929 in Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. Ray was the oldest son and he grew up on Milton Street in Germantown, Louisville, Kentucky. Ray was the only member of his family that received his High School Diploma from Manuel High School. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army to fight in World War II. Ray was assigned overseas to Paris, France. He fought to the Rhine River where they met the Russians. He fought Battles such as the Battle of the Bulge. After the war he was stationed in Bonn Germany for six months. He was discharged in 1946 and returned to Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky to live. He was my Uncle.
