ODELL HACKER 1941 to present, my brother enlisted in the Army in 1960 at Cincinnati, Ohio. Basic training was Fort Knox, Kentucky. His first assignment was a Missile Battery in Germany. Attended Special Warfare School (Special Forces, green beret' ) at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He had two tours of duty in Viet Nam, winning the Bronze Star while there. His most enjoyable assignment was Sargent Major of the ROTC Program at Notre Dame, Indiana. With 30 years of service, his last assignment before retiring in 1990 was Command Sargent Major of the 3rd ROTC region based
at Fort Lewis, Washington.
