Possibly Charles J Owens who was born 1810 in Sullivan County, Tennessee, and died 12 August 1862 in Camp Cottrell, Tennessee. He married NANCY IVEY 23 July 1837 in Grainger County, Tennessee, daughter of BENJAMIN IVEY and MARTHA MAYES. She was born Bet. 1812 - 1817 in North Carolina, and died after 1860. Don't know who his parents are and not sure this is him? This photograph was behind a picture that was hanging in the Isaiah Vandervere OWENS and Mary Jane WELCH OWENS home. We have no idea who they are.......but we are presuming they are ancestors or they would not have been in a frame behind a picture of Owens? The house was in White Shoals, Lee County, Virginia where Isaiah V Owens and Mary Jane Welch Owens lived and died. Can you identify this photograph?
