JESSE BOLLING (BOWLING) son of BENJAMIN BOWLING (1734-1832) and MARTHA PHELPS (1736-1767) was born 02 May 1758 in Hillsboro, Orange County, North Carolina, and died 10 March 1841 in Quicksand Creek, Breathitt County, Kentucky. He married (1) MARY GREENE 1774 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. She died 1777 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. He married (2) MARY PENNINGTON 06 January 1785 in Wilkesboro, Wilkes County, North Carolina, daughter of MICAJAH PENNINGTON and RACHEL JONES. She was born 08 November 1765 in Hollow of Yadkin River, Blue Ridge, Wilkes County, North Carolina, and died 21 March 1842 in Breathitt County, Kentucky.
This stone is in the Recovery Cemetery (Laurel Point?)
where many of the people were moved when Buckhorn Lake was created in Perry County,
Kentucky and Bollingtown was covered up..back in the 1950's.
