              DANIEL WILLIAM CLOUD son of DANIEL WILLIAM CLOUD (1780-1818) and NANCY OWENS (1786-?) was born 20 December 1814 in Logan County, Kentucky, and died 06 March 1836 in Alamo, San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. Daniel was an attorney and on his way to Texas, traveled over 2500 miles through Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana and Missouri with friend Peter J Bailey also an attorney from Logan County, Kentucky. They both enlisted in the Texas Volunteer Auxilary Corps of Texas on 14 January 1836 at Nacogdoches. Also enlisting with them was B A M Thomas, Joseph G Washington, William Fauntleroy all also of Logan County, Kentucky. Daniel William Cloud died in the battle of the Alamo on 06 March 1836.
