JOHN HALL COLBERT SR, was my Grandfather, born 9 February 1887 in Searcy
County, Arkansas, son of Robert Anthony Colbert and Vianna Rucker Colbert. He
married ETHEL MCTHOMPSON 01 August 1908 in Bly, Howell County, Missouri. Rev.
Colbert died 11 March 1963 in Howell County, Missouri. Ethel was born in Wayne
County, Illinois, and died 25 September 1956 in Howell County, Missouri. They are both buried at Amy Cemetery in that county. Rev. Colbert was ordained in Randolph County, Arkansas in 1911 and preached for the next 52 years in Southern Missouri and Northern Arkansas, Associational Baptist Missionary many years.

April 1980, Howell County, Missouri.
2. Geneva Josephine Colbert, b. 21 June 1910; d. 07 July 1973, Fairfax,
Missouri.
3. Charles Lyman Colbert, b. 01 June 1912; d. 28 November 1920, St. Joe,
Searcy County,Arkansas.
4. Leon Colbert, b. 04 December 1914, Ravenden Springs, Randolph County,
Arkansas; d. 22 January 1994, West Plains, Missouri.
5. Gladys Colbert, b. 08 January 1916, Snowball, Searcy County, Arkansas;
d. 25 November 1990., Washington, Missouri.
6. Jewell Colbert, my mother, b. 08 December 1920, Marshall, Searcy
County, Arkansas; d. 07 August 1999, Wellington, Sumner County,Kansas.
7. Marguerite Colbert, b. 04 November 1922, Marshall, Searcy County,
Arkansas; d. 28 November 1990, West Plains, Howell County, Missouri.
8. Rev. John Hall Colbert, Jr., 15 February 1924, Leslie, Searcy County,
Arkansas; d. 10 January 2000, Willow Springs, Howell County, Missouri.
