Reverend WILLIAM H EVANS was born 1802, and died 17 December 1862 in
Knox County, Kentucky; son of JOHN EVANS & SARAH HAYNE. He married
MARGARET BULL about
1820 in Kentucky, daughter of JOHN BULL & ELEANOR COLLINS. She was born
about 1802 in Tennessee, and died about 1870 in Bell County, Kentucky. William H
Evans was ordained in 1836 as a Baptist Preacher. He preached at
Greasy Creek, First Church established on Log Mountain. See "History of Bell County
Kentucky Assoc. of Baptists" by Henry Harvey Fuson, 1921.
William is listed as Minister of Harmony Baptist Church on Little Clear Creek
in Knox County, Kentucky (area now Bell County, Kentucky) from History of Bell
County, Kentucky book. He is my Great Great Grandfather. (notes & info of Deanna
