JOHN HENRY BALL son of ALLEN BALL and ELLENDER JANE SMITH was born 18 December 1880 in Harlan County, Kentucky, and died 10 July 1969 in Harlan County, Kentucky. He was a Deputy Sheriff in Harlan County, Kentucky in the late 1930’s or early 1940’s and was shot while trying to arrest a man in Evarts, Kentucky. He was my Father.
